Web development is quickly turning into a high-demand role and a very popular career path. If you are considering learning how to become a developer, the good news is- you can do so from the comfort of your home.

We consulted a panel of web development experts who shared their top recommendations for the best online resources (paid and free) available for learning web development.

This list of resources can get you from amateur to professional- all you need is dedication and persistence.

1. FreeCodeCamp.com (Free)

FreeCodeCamp is undoubtedly one of the best free sites for learning web development on the internet. It covers all of the necessary topics, including HTML, CSS (Flexbox, Bootstrap, Sass, and Grid), and Javascript (Jquery, React). Additionally, it teaches you all you need to know about responsive web design. The website has hundreds of projects and exercises that will help you assess your expertise.

2. Udemy (Paid)

Udemy is an online education portal that covers virtually every subject imaginable. It currently has over 80,000 courses available to teach you how to code. The majority of the courses are costly, although some are free. Its primary benefit is that the courses are frequently drastically priced.

Simply visit the Udemy website and search for the course that is perfect for you. Enter your needs, and we'll match you with a teacher. However, I strongly advise you to enroll in Colt Steel's Web Developer Bootcamp. It covers all of the foundations you'll need to begin studying web development.
