Metcurve's elegant, unassuming design uses gentle curves and shading to produce a laid-back effect. Its low-key style allows your content to shine, and makes the template suitable for a wide range of Web site applications.

The template is available in a variety of colours to further enhance its flexibility.

Metcurve uses a fluid layout that stretches across the entire width of the browser window, regardless of screen resolution. This allows sites built with this template to look good and to be readable across all screen sizes, right down to 640x480 pixels.

Easy to Edit

All the headings and menu options are created using plain HTML, so there are no graphics to edit if you want to change the headings or menu. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc), select the old text and replace it with your own.

It's easy to slot in your own logo or other heading image into the page header, replacing the generic "company name" HTML text.

The template's HTML code was built by hand to ensure maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Fully Web Standards Compliant

Metcurve uses CSS positioning for layout and conforms to the XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS level 2 W3C standards. This ensures a high level of compatibility with today's and tomorrow's browsers.

Lots of Room for Content

Metcurve features a large content area below the page header and menu, formatted as 2 columns. The front page uses the right column as a "sidebar", which is useful for site highlights, news headlines, etc.

By devoting such a large area of the page to content, Metcurve's design is very flexible. It can take almost any type of site content while still looking good.

All the content boxes are stretchable vertically, ensuring that they will accommodate as much content as you can throw at them.

Fast Load Time

The estimated load time of the main page on a 56K modem is 6 seconds. The page is built using CSS positioning rather than a tables-based layout, which results in a much faster and smoother load of the page, and better compatibility with modern browsers. It also improves accessibility, enhancing the browsing experience for text-only browsers, screen readers, etc.

This template has been tested and is guaranteed to work with the following Web browsers. Other browsers will probably work fine too - they just haven't been tested with this template.
