The Clouds template sports a cheerful theme of fluffy cloud shapes, birds, stars and moonbeams. It's available in cool blue or warm yellow colour schemes to suit a variety of moods.

The template uses a fluid layout that stretches across the entire width of the browser window, regardless of screen resolution. This allows sites built with Clouds to look good and to be readable across all screen sizes.

Easy to Edit

All the text on the page - including headings and menu options - is created using HTML, so there are no graphics to edit when creating your site. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc), select the old text and replace it with your own.

It's easy to slot in your own logo or other heading image into the page header, replacing the generic "your logo" HTML text.

The generic "search" form can be linked to a search engine or search script if available, or can be replaced with a mailing list subscribe form, for example. Of course, you can easily remove the form altogether if desired.

The template's hand-built HTML ensures maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Fully Web Standards Compliant

Clouds uses CSS positioning for layout and conforms to the XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS level 2 W3C standards. This ensures a high level of compatibility with today's and tomorrow's browsers.

Room for All Your Content

The main page of the Clouds template features a 3-column layout. You could use these columns for news headlines, product summaries, or anything else you might need. The photos above the columns are just placeholders, but you can use them in the finished site if desired.

The sub page contains a free-form content area that you can fill with any type of content as required.

All the content areas are stretchable vertically, ensuring that they will accommodate as much or as little content as you need.

Clouds features 2 separate navigation menus. This gives you the flexibility to organize your site exactly the way you want it. You could use the top menu for your main site sections, and the left menu for sub-sections, for example. It's easy to replace the left menu with other content too, if desired.

Fast Load Time

The estimated initial load time of the main page, including images and CSS, on a 56K modem is 6 seconds. The use of CSS positioning, combined with reuse of the graphics and CSS files, results in a very quick-loading and responsive site.

This template has been tested and is guaranteed to work with the following Web browsers. Other browsers will probably work fine too - they just haven't been tested with this template.

Fonts Used

Clouds uses Arial for all text on the page. This font comes as standard on most PC and Mac systems.
