Slick Design

This slick-looking template is perfect for those occasions when you want to say it with style. The subtle blue/brown colour scheme is relaxed yet professional. Ideal for photo galleries, or photography / movie sites.

The template uses a fixed-width layout which centres the 760-pixel-wide page in the browser window. This ensures that the design looks consistent across all screen resolutions. The page sits on a subtle background with brown horizontal stripes.

Easy to Edit

All the headings and menu options are created using plain HTML, so there are no graphics to edit if you want to change the headings or menu. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc), select the old text and replace it with your own.

It's easy to slot in your own logo or other heading image into the page header, replacing the generic "company logo / your strapline here" heading.

The template's HTML code was built by hand to ensure maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Lots of Room for Content

The main page and sub-page both have ample room for your own text and image content. The main page features a main content box, plus separate boxes for features, news, customer testimonials, or anything else you might dream up. The sub page contains a similar main content box and a thin "sidebar" box for further info, banners, etc.

All the content boxes are stretchable vertically, ensuring that they will accommodate as much content as you can throw at them.

Suggested Applications

Photoshoot is a great template for photography sites or sites advertising photographers. Also good for photo galleries!

Fast Load Time

The estimated load time of the main page on a 56K modem is 14 seconds. The page is built using CSS positioning rather than a tables-based layout, which results in a much faster and smoother load of the page, and better compatibility with modern browsers. It also improves accessibility, enhancing the browsing experience for text-only browsers, screen readers, etc.

This template has been tested and is guaranteed to work with the following Web browsers. Other browsers will probably work fine too - they just haven't been tested with this template.

Fonts Used

Photoshoot uses Arial for the page headings and Verdana for the page body text. Both these fonts come as standard on most PC and Mac systems.
