Fresh, Lively Design

Jungle uses some great nature photography to create a design with a fresh, zingy feel to it. While it can of course be used for gardening or nature sites, it's appropriate for any site that needs a light, airy vibe.

The template features a gentle colour scheme of greens on a white background.

Jungle uses a fixed-width layout, with the 750-pixel-wide page body centred in the browser window. This ensures that the design looks consistent across all screen sizes.

Easy to Edit

Jungle's navigation menu and sub-headings are all created using plain HTML, so it's easy to change the menus and page content to match your requirements. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc), select the text and replace it with your own.

The blurred plants photo with the "Welcome to the jungle" text is a single image, so it's simple to change in an image editor.

You can easily slot in your own logo or other heading image into the page header, replacing the generic "Your Logo / strapline goes here" heading.

The generic "search" form can be linked to a search engine or search script if available, or can be replaced with a mailing list subscribe form, for example. Of course, you can easily remove the form altogether if desired.

The template's HTML code was built by hand to ensure maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Plenty of Room for Content

The main page of the Jungle template features a main content area below the "welcome to the jungle" image, and 3 small content boxes down the right hand side. You could use the small boxes for highlighting parts of your site, or for adverts, for example.

The sub page contains a more free-form content area, allowing you to place any type of content in the site, and another handy box on the right that you can use for extra info.

All the content boxes are stretchable vertically, ensuring that they will accommodate as much or as little content as you need.

The estimated load time of the main page on a 56K modem is 10 seconds. This fast loading time was achieved through the minimal use of graphics in the page design and through carefully optimised images. The result is a quick, responsive site that will please your site's visitors.

Fonts Used

Jungle uses Impact for the text in the images, and Arial for all other text. Both these fonts are usually available as standard on PC and Mac systems.
