Droplet's smooth, contemporary design is both stylish and laid-back. The soft blurred imagery creates a soothing, reassuring presence. This template will create a relaxed, business-like look for any site.

The template features a gentle colour scheme of pastel blues and cream on a white background.

Droplet uses a fixed-width layout, with the 750-pixel-wide page body centred in the browser window. This ensures that the design looks consistent across all screen sizes.

Easy to Edit

Droplet's headings and navigation menus are all created using plain HTML, so you can easily change the menus and page content to match your requirements. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc), select the text and replace it with your own.

The blurred photo with the "Welcome" text is a single image, so it's easy to change in an image editor.

The generic "search" form can be linked to a search engine or search script if available, or can be replaced with a mailing list subscribe form, for example. Of course, you can remove the form altogether if desired.

It's easy to slot in your own logo or other heading image into the page header, replacing the generic "Your Company Inc." heading.

The template's HTML code was built by hand to ensure maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Flexible, Expandable Layout

The main page of the Droplet template features several text content areas, divided into a number of rows and columns. You might like to use these areas for news headlines, or for introducing parts of your site, for example. You can of course edit the layout of these text areas in your Web page editor as required.

The sub page contains a more free-form content area, allowing you to place any type of content in the site, and a handy "sidebar" column for extra information or adverts.

All the content boxes are stretchable vertically, ensuring that they will accommodate as much or as little content as you need.

Droplet features 2 separate navigation menus. This gives you the flexibility to organize your site exactly the way you want it. You could use the top menu for your main site sections, and the left menu for sub-sections, for example. It's easy to replace the left menu with other content too, if desired.

The Droplet template is particularly suited to business sites, but would suit any site requiring a professional, modern look and feel.

Fast Load Time

The estimated load time of the main page on a 56K modem is 5 seconds. This fast loading time was achieved through the minimal use of graphics in the page design and through carefully optimised images. The result is a quick, responsive site that will please your site's visitors.

This template has been tested and is guaranteed to work with the following Web browsers. Other browsers will probably work fine too - they just haven't been tested with this template.

Fonts Used

Droplet uses Helvetica Neue Bold Condensed for the "welcome" image, and Verdana for all other text. Helvetica (or Arial, which is similar) and Verdana are usually available as standard on PC and Mac systems.
