Rush Hour marries an original, eye-catching design with muted colours to produce a template with a contemporary, yet businesslike, feel. Great for any online business that wants a subtly different look.

This template's layout is fixed-width, with the 800-pixel-wide page body aligned left in the browser window. This ensures that the design looks consistent across all screen sizes. To fill the window on large screen sizes, the brown horizontal bar stretches across the entire window width. The page sits on a plain light brown background.

Easy to Edit

Nearly all the text on the page - including sub-headings and menu options - is created using HTML, so there are no graphics to edit when creating your site. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc), select the old text and replace it with your own.

It's easy to slot in your own logo or other heading image into the page header, replacing the generic "rush hour" heading graphics.

The template's hand-built HTML ensures maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Both pages of the Rush Hour template contain 2 content columns. These columns are stretchable vertically, ensuring that they will accommodate as much or as little content as you need. The columns are organised as a table, so you can easily merge them together in your Web page editor to make a single large content area, if required.

The estimated initial load time of the main page, including images and CSS, on a 56K modem is 7 seconds. The use of CSS positioning, combined with reuse of the graphics and CSS files, results in a very quick-loading and responsive site that will please your site's visitors.

Fonts Used

Rush Hour uses Arial for the body text, sub-headings and menu. This font comes as standard on most PC and Mac systems. Hemi Head 426, available free from www.larabiefonts.com, was used for the "Rush Hour" heading image.
