Fun, Simple Design

Fizz uses a simple, elegant design and layout, with subtle "bubble" graphics in the header to add a bit of sparkle. Its generic nature makes it suitable for a wide range of sites. Fizz is available in a variety of colour schemes to further enhance its flexibility.

The template uses a fluid layout that stretches across the entire width of the browser window, regardless of screen resolution. This allows sites built with Fizz to look good and to be readable across all screen sizes.

Easy to Edit

The headings and menu options in Fizz are built using HTML, so there are no graphics to edit when creating your site. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc), select the old text and replace it with your own.

It's easy to slot in your own logo or other heading image into the page header, replacing the generic "Your Company / Your Strapline Here" heading.

Fizz's hand-built HTML ensures maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Lots of Space for Content

The main page features a large "Welcome" content area that you can use to introduce the site, and a "News" sidebar column that can contain news headlines, site features, or other supplementary content. The sub-page contains a more generic 2-column layout.

As it devotes such a large area of the page to content, Fizz is a very flexible template. It can take almost any type of site content while still looking good.

Fast Load Time

The estimated initial load time of the main page, including images and CSS, on a 56K modem is 6 seconds. The minimalist design of the page, combined with reuse of the graphics and CSS files, results in a very quick-loading and responsive site.

This template has been tested and is guaranteed to work with the following Web browsers. Other browsers will probably work fine too - they just haven't been tested with this template.

Fonts Used

Fizz uses Verdana for all text on the page. This font comes as standard on most PC and Mac systems.
