Skin Deep features a simple, laid-back and professional layout, making it suitable for a wide variety of Web site applications. It's available in a variety of colour schemes to further enhance its flexibility.

The template uses a fluid layout that stretches across the entire width of the browser window, regardless of screen resolution. This allows sites built with Skin Deep to look good and to be readable across all screen sizes.

Easy to Edit

The headings and menu options in Skin Deep are built using HTML, so there are no graphics to edit when creating your site. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc), select the old text and replace it with your own.

It's easy to slot in your own logo or other heading image into the page header, replacing the generic "company name / your strapline here" heading.

Skin Deep's hand-built HTML ensures maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Plenty of Room for Content

Skin Deep features a large content area below the page header and menu. By default this is formatted as 2 columns, but this is easy to change if desired. As it devotes such a large area of the page to content, Skin Deep is a very flexible template. It can take almost any type of site content while still looking good.

Fast Load Time

The estimated initial load time of the main page, including images and CSS, on a 56K modem is 12 seconds. The minimalist design of the page, combined with reuse of the graphics and CSS files, results in a very quick-loading and responsive site.

This template has been tested and is guaranteed to work with the following Web browsers. Other browsers will probably work fine too - they just haven't been tested with this template.

Skin Deep uses Arial for all text on the page. This font comes as standard on most PC and Mac systems.
