Template Details: Chunk (White)

Bold, Original Design

The Chunk template features a bold, "small window" design that concentrates the site content in the centre of the page. It's available in deep blue, cool white and warm pink colour schemes. This is a template for those times when you want to stand out from the crowd.

The template uses frames to centre the content in the page. This means that you can still put a lot of content into the template, and the centre content frame will scroll accordingly. The page will sit well on any screen size, right down to 640 x 480 pixels.

Easy to Edit

The sub-headings and menu options in Chunk are built using HTML, so you usually don't need to edit any graphics when using this template. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc), select the old text and replace it with your own.

The main page "circles" image with the "welcome" heading is built using 2 image slices (left and right). Should you want to change this graphic, you can edit it in Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro or other image editor using the supplied PSD file. Of course, you can also replace it with your own graphics if desired.

Chunk's hand-built HTML ensures maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is compact and simple for ease of maintenance.

Flexible Layout

The main page of Chunk features a minimalist "headlines" area, where you can place up to 3 news headlines or "teasers" for your site content. The generic sub page, used to build the other pages of your site, features a free-form content area, allowing you to add any type of content you like to your site.

Fast Load Time

The estimated initial load time of the main page, including images and CSS, on a 56K modem is 3 seconds. The minimal use of graphics on the pages, combined with simple images with small file sizes, results in a very quick-loading and responsive site.

This template has been tested and is guaranteed to work with the following Web browsers. Other browsers will probably work fine too - they just haven't been tested with this template.

Fonts Used

Chunk uses Arial for the HTML text on the page, and Impact for the logo and header graphics. Both these fonts are usually available as standard on PC and Mac systems.
