Clean Design

Worldwide's design is light and gentle, with an open, airy feel. The generic "global" theme makes the template suitable for a wide range of sites. The subtle, understated use of graphics ensures that the site's content is given plenty of room to breathe.

The template is based on a delicate colour scheme of pastel blues and oranges on a white background. The main page text is blue while the links are orange.

This template uses a fixed-width layout, aligning the 800-pixel-wide page body on the left hand side of the browser window. This ensures that the design looks consistent across all screen sizes.

Easy to Edit

All menu options and sub-headings in Worldwide are created using plain HTML, making it easy to change the template to match your requirements. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc), select the old text and replace it with your own.

The "welcome to our site" placeholder image can easily be replaced with your own text or images. If you have an image editor you can edit the "world wide" graphic and change the text if desired.

The template's HTML code was built by hand to ensure maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Flexible and Scalable

Worldwide uses a 2-level navigation system, making it suitable for large Web sites as well as small. The tabs across the top of the page can be used for the main sections of your site, while the menu on the left hand side (visible on the sub-page) can be used for sub-sections. All these menus use HTML text so it's easy to change the text or add more menu options.

Worldwide features 3 page templates. The main page contains areas for news headlines and other info about the site. The first-level and second-level sub-page templates both contain 2 columns for your site content. Of course, it's easy to change the layout of these pages if you prefer a single column, for example.

All the content boxes are stretchable vertically, ensuring that they will accommodate as much or as little content as you need.

Fast Load Time

The estimated load time of the main page on a 56K modem is 8 seconds. This fast loading time was achieved through the minimal use of graphics in the page design and through carefully optimised images. The result is a quick, responsive site that will please your site's visitors.

This template has been tested and is guaranteed to work with the following Web browsers. Other browsers will probably work fine too - they just haven't been tested with this template.

Worldwide uses Arial for all text. This font is usually available as standard on PC and Mac systems.
