Businesslike Design

White Tip features a reserved, businesslike design, making it good for any site that just wants to get the job done with the minimum of fuss. Subtle blues with white highlighting are used for the design.

White Tip's layout is fixed-width, with the 750-pixel-wide page body centred horizontally in the browser window. This ensures that the design looks consistent across all screen sizes. The page sits on a pinstripe blue background.

Easy to Edit

White Tip's sub-headings and menu options ("About, News, Products" etc) are created using plain HTML, so it's easy to change the menu options to suit your particular site. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc), select the old text and replace it with your own.

It's easy to slot in your own logo or other heading image into the page header, replacing the generic "Company Inc." heading. The placeholder 468x60 banner can be replaced with real banners, or the space used for something else if required.

The template's HTML code was built by hand to ensure maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Lots of Space for Content

The main page features a central main content area, with smaller content boxes for stuff like news headlines, adverts, site highlights, etc. The sub page contains a large generic content area, where you can place text, images, photos, Flash movies, or any other content you like. It also features a smaller "sidebar" box that you can use for more info, adverts, etc.

All the content boxes are stretchable vertically, ensuring that they will accommodate as much or as little content as you need.

Fast Load Time

The estimated load time of the main page on a 56K modem is 8 seconds. The restrained use of graphics on the page, combined with optimised images, results in a very quick-loading and responsive site.

This template has been tested and is guaranteed to work with the following Web browsers. Other browsers will probably work fine too - they just haven't been tested with this template.

Fonts Used

White Tip uses Arial and Verdana for the page text. Both these fonts are usually available as standard on PC and Mac systems. Engebrechtre, available free from www.larabiefonts.com, was used for the logo placeholder graphic.
