A Bright, Spacious Design

"Possibilities" features bright, cheerful colours and eye-catching typography. Its wide, flexible layout can accommodate any type of content. This template is suitable for a wide range of websites and blogs.

The template's fixed-width layout centres the 960-pixel-wide page body in the browser window. This ensures that the design looks consistent across all screen sizes.

Easy to Edit

All the text on the page is simply HTML text, so you don't need a graphics editor to change the headings or menu for example. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc.), select the old text and replace it with your own.

You can easily slot in your own logo or site name into the page header, replacing the generic "Site Name" text.

The template's HTML code was built by hand to ensure maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Fully Web Standards Compliant

Possibilities uses CSS positioning for layout and conforms to the XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS level 2.1 W3C standards. This ensures a high level of compatibility with today's and tomorrow's browsers.

Simple, Adaptable Layout

The PageKit's simple two-column layout features a main content area on the left and a sidebar on the right (you can easily swap these over). The navigation menu runs along the top right and features a green highlight strip for the selected and rolled-over menu options. (Again, the colour is easy to change in the CSS.)

On the homepage template we've given you a big tagline and intro text area that you can customize to introduce your site. The inner page features a wide image at the top, and you can overlay your own caption on the image using pure CSS.

With both the homepage and inner page templates, you can replace all of the sample content with your own text, images, Flash movies or any content you like.

The main and sidebar content areas are stretchable vertically, ensuring that the template can accommodate as much content as you need.

Fast Load Time

The estimated load time of the home page on a 56K modem is 11 seconds. The PageKit is built using CSS positioning rather than a tables-based layout, which results in a much faster and smoother load of the page, and better compatibility with modern browsers. It also improves accessibility, enhancing the browsing experience for text-only browsers and screen readers.

This template has been tested and is guaranteed to work with the following Web browsers. Other browsers will probably work fine too - they just haven't been tested with this template.

Fonts Used

Possibilities uses Arial and Georgia for all text in the page. These fonts usually come as standard on PC and Mac systems.
