Networkd is a cool, modern design with gentle gradients and a subtle "bubbles" motif. Great for sites connected with information technology, computing, networking or tech support services, Networkd can also easily be adapted to any kind of site.

The template's fixed-width layout aligns the main 780-pixel-wide page body centrally in the browser window. This ensures that the design looks consistent across all screen sizes.

Easy to Edit

All the text on the page is simply HTML text, so you don't need a graphics editor to change the headings or menu for example. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc.), select the old text and replace it with your own.

You can easily slot in your own logo or other heading image into the top right corner, replacing the "Networkd" HTML text.

The template's HTML code was built by hand to ensure maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Networkd comes with two page templates: a home page template, and an inner page template. Use the home page template to build your site's home page; use the inner page template to build the other pages of your site.

Fully Web Standards Compliant

Networkd uses CSS positioning for layout and conforms to the XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS level 2 W3C standards. This ensures a high level of compatibility with today's and tomorrow's browsers.

Flexible Layout

The page templates feature a large column on the left for the main content of your page, and optional sidebar boxes on the right that you can use for feature lists, testimonials, site highlights and so on.

In addition, the homepage template includes an optional news area that you can use for news headlines or product highlights, for example.

The template's very flexible so it's easy to move sections around, or you can remove sections entirely and add your own free-form content.

All content areas can stretch vertically, ensuring that the Networkd template can accommodate all your text and images.

Fast Load Time

The estimated load time of the home page on a 56K modem is 4 seconds. The page is built using CSS positioning rather than a tables-based layout, which results in a much faster and smoother load of the page, and better compatibility with modern browsers. It also improves accessibility, enhancing the browsing experience for text-only browsers and screen readers.

This template has been tested and is guaranteed to work with the following Web browsers. Other browsers will probably work fine too - they just haven't been tested with this template.

Fonts Used

Networkd uses Arial for all text in the page. This font usually comes as standard on PC and Mac systems.
