"Serenity" is a wonderfully soothing design, with its muted colours and gentle "pebbles" photography. It features a simple, uncluttered page layout that's easy to work with. Perfect for any site wanting to impart a relaxed, laid-back feel.

The template's fixed-width layout centres the 770-pixel-wide page body in the browser window. This ensures that the design looks consistent across all screen sizes.

Easy to Edit

All the text on the page is simply HTML text, so you don't need a graphics editor to change the headings or menu for example. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc.), select the old text and replace it with your own.

You can easily slot in your own logo or site name into the page header, replacing the "SERENITY INCORPORATED" HTML text.

The template's HTML code was built by hand to ensure maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Fully Web Standards Compliant

Serenity uses CSS positioning for layout and conforms to the XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS level 2 W3C standards. This ensures a high level of compatibility with today's and tomorrow's browsers.

Simple, Flexible Layout

The homepage template features a wonderful "pebbly beach" photo, with a "welcome" area on the left and a striking all-caps sidebar area on the right - great for drawing your visitors' eyes to your key message.

The inner page template features a similar layout, with lots of room for content in the left column and space for an image and key message in the right column.

All the content columns are stretchable vertically, ensuring that the Serenity template can accommodate as much content as you need.

Fast Load Time

The estimated load time of the home page on a 56K modem is 4 seconds. The page is built using CSS positioning rather than a tables-based layout, which results in a much faster and smoother load of the page, and better compatibility with modern browsers. It also improves accessibility, enhancing the browsing experience for text-only browsers and screen readers.

This template has been tested and is guaranteed to work with the following Web browsers. Other browsers will probably work fine too - they just haven't been tested with this template.

Serenity uses Arial for all text in the page. This font usually comes as standard on PC and Mac systems.
