Bright, Colourful and Cheery

"Tree-D" has a bright, cheerful colour scheme and uses a lovely "misty trees" photo to great effect. Excellent for websites about nature and the environment, or any site wanting a relaxed, cheery look and feel.

The template's fixed-width layout centres the 770-pixel-wide page body in the browser window. This ensures that the design looks consistent across all screen sizes.

Easy to Edit

All the text on the page is simply HTML text, so you don't need a graphics editor to change the headings or menu for example. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc.), select the old text and replace it with your own.

It's easy to slot in your own logo or other heading image/text into the page header, replacing the generic "Welcome to the site / Page Title" text.

The template's HTML code was built by hand to ensure maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Fully Web Standards Compliant

Tree-D uses CSS positioning for layout and conforms to the XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS level 2 W3C standards. This ensures a high level of compatibility with today's and tomorrow's browsers.

Flexible, Expandable Layout

Tree-D's home page template features several text content areas and boxes. Great for news headlines, site highlights, thumbnails and so on.

The inner page template contains a more free-form content area, allowing you to place any type of content in the site, and a couple of handy "sidebar" boxes for extra information or adverts. (You can create as many of these boxes as you like simply by copying and pasting.)

All the content areas and boxes are stretchable vertically, ensuring that they will accommodate as much content as you need.

Tree-D is ideal for any site with a nature or environment theme, and is also great if you need to build a site with a relaxed, bright and cheerful approach.

Fast Load Time

The estimated load time of the home page on a 56K modem is 11 seconds. The page is built using CSS positioning rather than a tables-based layout, which results in a much faster and smoother load of the page, and better compatibility with modern browsers. It also improves accessibility, enhancing the browsing experience for text-only browsers and screen readers.

This template has been tested and is guaranteed to work with the following Web browsers. Other browsers will probably work fine too - they just haven't been tested with this template.

Tree-D uses Arial for all text in the page. This font usually comes as standard on PC and Mac systems.
