"All About The Music" is a series of PageKits with a music theme. Each PageKit is dedicated to a particular genre of music - in this case, the blues!

AATM: Blues features a warm, sentimental feel that really captures the feeling of blues music thanks to its wonderful slide guitar photography. Great for any site about blues music: an artist's site, a fan site, an online music store...

The PageKit's fixed-width layout aligns the main 750-pixel-wide page body centrally in the browser window. This ensures that the design looks consistent across all screen sizes.

Easy to Edit

All the text on the page (apart from the "Blues" logo) is HTML text, so you don't need a graphics editor to change the headings or menu for example. Just open the page up in your favourite Web page editor (FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc.), select the old text and replace it with your own.

It's simple to slot in your own logo or other heading image into the page header, replacing the generic "Blues" logo image. (Use a transparent GIF or PNG image, or simply HTML text, for best results.) Or you can leave in the "Blues" image if you prefer.

The template's HTML code was built by hand to ensure maximum compatibility across Web browsers and editors, and is well laid-out and fully commented for ease of maintenance.

Fully Web Standards Compliant

AATM: Blues uses CSS positioning for layout and conforms to the XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS level 2 W3C standards. This ensures a high level of compatibility with today's and tomorrow's browsers.

Simple, Flexible Layout

The template's home page features a 2-column content layout, with the wider main content area in the centre and a narrower "promo area" on the right. The promo area's great for site highlights, adverts, featured products and so on.

The generic sub-page features a wide main text area that you can use for any type of content - text, images, Flash movies and so on. Copy this page as many times as you need to make all the inner pages of your site.

A sample floating feature box is included - use this for photos as in the examples in the template, or for special features, pull quotes and so on. The box can stretch vertically to accommodate your content, and you can set the width too.

All content areas are stretchable vertically, ensuring that the AATM: Blues template can accommodate as much content as you like.

Fast Load Time

The estimated load time of the main page on a 56K modem is 8 seconds. The page is built using CSS positioning rather than a tables-based layout, which results in a much faster and smoother load of the page, and better compatibility with modern browsers. It also improves accessibility, enhancing the browsing experience for text-only browsers and screen readers.

Fonts Used

AATM: Blues uses Trebuchet MS for the headings and menu, and Arial for body text. These fonts usually come as standard on most PC and Mac systems. The "Blues" logo uses Berylium from Larabie Fonts.
